"Argue for your limitations, and sure enough, they're yours." Illusions Richard Bach
One of the fascinating things about the human brain is it's ability to create reality out of ideas. On the one hand, this can be your secret to success, joy, happiness, possibility. On the other hand, it can be the anchor that drags you down and keeps you in poverty, sorrow and immobility.
Because we tell ourselves with absolute conviction that something is true and we carefully construct a reality that supports it. I have for many years referred to this as our Personal Mythology. These are the stories we tell ourselves and tell others. We tell it so well and with such conviction, it becomes real.
I am a victim. I had a horrible child hood. It's not my fault. I wasn't loved enough. People laughed at me. I will never be happy. My life is meaningless. I am poor. I am powerless. I am stupid. I have no talent. I am a loser. I am unlucky.
And this is true, because we believe it, we share it and we manifest it.
I am in control of my destiny. I am infinite. I am happy. My life has meaning. I am rich. I am powerful. I am wise. I have endless talents. I am a winner. I don't need luck, I have magic.
And this is true, because we believe it, we share it and we manifest it.
We can do, be and become anything we can imagine, good or bad. Which is powerful stuff to embrace.
What's your story?
Is it a horror story, a romance, a thriller, a tragedy, a comedy, an adventure?
Think about it.
If you're unhappy and living in a state of lack, can you write a new story? Can you reach around the myth and tell the truth? What if it was entirely possible that from this moment, right now, everything could shift?
Because it is. It is entirely possible.
Write a new story.

Love this post! A very timely read for me - a good reminder that a story ain't over till the very last chapter - there's always room for re-writes.
